JOB SUMMARY

The Warehouse Receiving Clerk is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Warehouse operation including placing orders, receiving merchandise, inventory storage, supply deliveries and ensuring warehouse control. 

All employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner which demonstrates friendliness, initiative, professionalism, personal awareness and integrity while exercising confidentiality in the appropriate areas of their performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handles receiving related activities
• Ensures physical control of inventory and warehouse
• Follows all check in/out procedures of inventory
• Reviews inventory records and warehouse to determine if material on hand is sufficient
• Delivers product from warehouse to various departments and ensures proper documentation of inventory taken from the warehouse are complete and accurate
• Ensures accuracy of all delivered product, documentation and vendor invoices; resolves any discrepancies
• Travels to local retail stores to purchase supplies on an as needed basis
• Conducts physical inventory count for food product, beverages and supplies
• Assumes responsibility for warehouse cleanliness and organization
• Assists other departments as assigned including Banquet Set-Up according to Banquet Event Order and/or floorplan i.e. setting/tearing down tables, chairs, dancefloor, etc.
• Performs other duties as requested or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to continually lift up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 50lb and occasionally up to 75lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, crouch and use hands to grasp, handle or feel objects, tools or controls
• Ability to reach with hands and arms, stack and retrieve items from shelves; up to 6 feet
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to follow verbal and written directions, numerical information, policies/procedures
• Ability to provide exceptional guest services
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Must maintain complete understanding of warehouse operations and principles
• Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous warehouse/receiving experience required
